A HISTORY OF HOPE
Hope Community Cancer Center first came into being more than 20 years ago. Dr. Julianne Childs initially started out in private practice in 1995, and practiced alone for two years, before being joined by Dr. Hemang Dave. In the years since, the practice has grown to include Dr. Kaleem Ahmad and Dr. Tiffany Pompa, and the doctors, together, have continuously worked to provide patients with access to more than just medical oncology and hematology, with additional services including financial counseling, emotional support, social services and genetic counseling for hereditary conditions. At Hope, we believe our patients deserve to be treated as a whole person, not just as a clinical diagnosis. We also want our patients to feel a sense of hopefulness and even some joy when they come to our office, so we had artist Jeanne Elodie paint murals in the waiting rooms and the examining rooms to help brighten them, knowing that many patients are frightened in an oncologist’s office. We chose the name "Hope Community Cancer Center" for this same purpose. Our goal at Hope is to provide our patients in Marmora and Cape May with comprehensive, compassionate care, and we hope that you will find our community cancer center has just the right balance for you and your loved ones. Thank you for entrusting us with your care.
